Beliefs

THE SCRIPTURES
• We believe that the Word of God is composed of the Old & New testaments…the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation. We believe the Word of God to be inspired, inerrant, and the supreme standard and final authority for all conduct, faith, and doctrine. We believe that the King James Version (AV 1611) is the preserved Word of God for the English speaking world without error or mistake. (Ps. 119:160; Pro. 30:5-6; II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21)

GOD
• We believe in one GOD, eternally existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, commonly referred to as the Trinity. (Ge. 1:1; Ex. 15:11; Matthew 28:19; Jn. 10:30) We believe in the deity of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death, burial, and resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His pretribulation and premillennial, personal return in power and glory. (Jn. 1:1,14; 3:16; Ph. 2:6-10; I Jn. 2:1-2) We believe in the HOLY SPIRIT administered to the church, and then revealed on the Day of Pentecost. His purpose is to reveal Christ to men, to convict of sin, to regenerate repentant sinners, to illuminate the Bible to Christians and, by His presence and power, sanctify the lives of the redeemed. (Jn. 14:16-17; 20:21; Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 2:14)

MAN
• We believe that MAN was created in the image of God, but willfully sinned and is justly under the condemnation and wrath of Almighty God. (Gen. 1:27; 3:6; Ps. 51:5; Rom. 3:10,23)

SALVATION
• We believe that the only SALVATION from this guilt and condemnation is through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. This salvation is a free gift of God’s mercy and grace and can only be received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:21; Eph. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:5; Rev. 1:5)

THE CHURCH
• We believe that the local NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH is the body of Christ, established when Jesus called out the 12 apostles, composed of born again believers, baptized by immersion, associated for worship, service, and the spread of the Gospel of the grace of God to all the world. (Matt. 10:1-2; 16:18; 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 2:41-47; I Cor. 12:13, 28)

CHURCH ORDINANCES
• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted two Church ORDINANCES, which are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is only to be administered upon profession of faith in Christ by a scriptural Church authority, by immersion, thereby declaring one’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour. The Lord’s Supper is only for believers and is a memorial of the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection. It is to be preceded by faithful self-examination. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:41; I Cor.10:16; 11:23-29)

SEPARATION
• We believe that Christians should live a HOLY & SEPERATED LIFE from the things of this world, and unto the things of God. (Rom 1:1; II Cor. 6:14-17; I Peter 1:15-16)

RAPTURE and END TIMES
• We believe that there will be a resurrection of the just and the unjust. The just are those redeemed by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and at the rapture of the saints will be with Him throughout eternity in glory. This rapture of the saints is pretribulation and premillennial. The just, or Christians, will be judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ not for their sin, but for their works. The unjust, having died impenitent & unreconciled to God, will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment, and sentenced to eternal condemnation in Hell. (I Thess. 4:16-18; II Cor. 5:8-10; Luke 16:19-23; Rev. 20:11-15)
